The Highlands and Stirling Castle
The home of Royalty
and Warrior Chiefs.
Stirling Castle
You will be collected from your lodgings at 8.30am to travel in a luxurious Toyota Alphard to Stirling Castle for it opening at 9.30am.
I spent a few years as a guide in this castle and as such, I know all the juicy stuff.
I've devised my own unique tour of Stirling Castle that should not only shed light on the Royal occupants but also onto the lives of the many servants who worked there.
Lots of fun anecdotes mixed with descriptions of how they lived, what they wore and how they may have smelled!
This is the best castle in Scotland. Don't miss it.
The Highlands
The afternoon will take you through the Perthshire Highlands, stopping at Balquidder Church for Highland Folklore, the magnificent Falls of Dochart for tales of Clan rivalry and the lovely wee Highland village of Kenmore where the Campbells of Breadalbane ruled for centuries.
If weather allows, we'll take the mountain pass to Amulree to learn about a dark chapter in Scotland's history amidst some jaw dropping scenery and perhaps with a wee dram in hand before heading back to your lodgings.
This day is outstanding.
Tours start from £550 for a group per day. (Max 5 people per group)
