The East to West Experience

Are you ready to take a journey?

A real flavour of Scotland.

From the green valleys of the Borders to the rolling farmland of Fife. From the rugged empty Highlands to the culture of the UK's most northern city. This is the tour you need.
You'll visit places that other tourists overlook. You'll hear stories that most folk will never hear. Scotland will change you. You will long to return someday.

A world away.

"Scotland is so gorgeous that every time I'm there, I start to dream of living there. I want to buy one of those white washed cottages with the thatch roofs and gaze out at the sea and read my books"
- Julia London

Rich varied landscapes.

You'll be collected from your lodgings early on day one for a trip into the Borders. Wee fishing harbours, clifftop bird sanctuaries, an old abbey and the highest village in Scotland all set withing the deep, green valleys of this 'much fought over' part of Scotland. On the morning of day two we'll set off for the East Neuk of Fife. A wee church clinging on beside the sea, amazing seafood, rich farmland and the world famous St Andrew's golf course to top it all off. You'll spend this night in the charming wee town of Pitlochry. Up and out the door on the third day for a drive into Royal Deeside. We may visit Balmoral Castle before heading up the old whisky smugglers road over the Cairngorm Mountains. We'll end the day with a visit to the mysterious Clava Cairns and an overnight in the city of Inverness. Day Four begins with a private tour of Culloden Battlefield. This can be an emotional experience for some. We'll visit Loch Ness and the beautiful Plodda Falls before heading out west in readiness for a trip to Skye. We'll visit a few 'off the beaten path' places as well as a few of the more famous sites on Skye on day five. It's a long drive back to Edinburgh for day six but we'll fill it with incredible stops such as Glencoe, the Falls of Dochart and a photo op at Stirling Castle.
  • Andrew is knowledgeable, fun and not a d*ck 😂 (inside joke). We felt so blessed that we were in his care as he made history come alive, showed us things we would never have found by ourselves or in a tour bus and was never intrusive or boring. His strengths include tailoring the itinerary to your needs. He picks the EXACT time to be at a destination without the crowds, is punctual and friendly. We can’t recommend him enough. Book him as your personal guide when in Scotland.
